Accept Jesus and let Him dwell in you

The journey that we start when we give our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ is the only one that gives us full benefits as sons and daughters. Many have accepted Christ but few are walking with Him because they think all that is required is to accept Him as their personal savior.

The bible tells us in II Chronicles 7:14 that if my people who are called by my name , shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

This means that accepting Jesus Christ as our personal savior is what gives us the power and authority to start calling on those things that the enemy stole from us when we did not know. Previously your prayers were just noise to God, but now you can pray for yourself and God will hear your prayers. “Now my eyes will be open, and my ears attend unto the prayer that is made…(II Chronicles 14:15).

Jesus comes to live inside the hearts and lives of those that accept Him to direct, and teach them on how to walk with Him.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: Old things are passed away, behold all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17). That is why there is that strong conviction whenever your flesh want to do the bad things that you used to do, because the spirit of God in you tells you not to do that and sadly most have gone with the desires of the flesh than listening to Spirit of God. “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul” (Matthew 16:26).

All things that we have in this world are just temporal. It is only the life after we depart from this world that is eternal. I have relatives that have gone to be with the Lord that had things that they considered valuable to them and while they were alive, nobody would dare touch. But, the day they died it was people that they were not even close to that took those things as they went without anything but if they had Jesus Christ living in them, they went with Him.

What I am trying to say is that we need to focus more on things of God than all this earthly things as the things of God are eternal. Do not let anyone or anything take you away from what you have received.

Let your heart be the home to the scriptures. Hide the world of God in your heart and that is what will help you to stay right in the Lord (Psalm 119:11).
