Lackie set to release a new song ‘Kujamayaine’
One of Malawi’s upcoming hip-hop artists Lackie, whose real name is Lackson Kamwendo, is all set to release a new single Kujamayaine on Monday January 8, 2018.
Lackie came into the limelight in September 2017 when he released a song called ‘Akazinjee’ which he featured Mikozi on both the audio and video formats that won hearts of many urban music lovers in the country.
Speaking in an interview, Lackie said he was set to release his new single ‘KujamayaIne’, a song which is talking about people who always talk about others behind their back instead of minding their own business.
“All is set to release the new song, it is addressing everyday life issues more especially about people who always talk about others,” said the Akazinjee hit maker.
He added that the audio of the song is of high quality and has been recorded at Trademarks Studio which is situated in Manja Township.
Lackie added that the shooting of the ‘Kujamayaine’ video would start in mid-January and it will be ready by the end of February.
Considering that he has just risen to fame a few months ago, the Blantyre based rapper said his music journey in the limelight has been great as he is still receiving good remarks about his song from music lovers.
To that Lackie said he was assured that he had a better future in the music industry.
He therefore acknowledged his fans and asked them to expect more from him in this New Year as he has plans to deliver good music.
He also said ‘Kujamayaine’ is going to be premiered on the famous radio 2 program ‘Made on Monday’ on the date of its release, thereafter it is going to be available on various Malawian music websites for downloads.
