Swedish company, Malawi’s Beata Holdings in business machines partnership
A Swedish company that exports electronic duplicating devices and other high-end machines, Scandi Gruppen AB, has partnered with Malawi’s Beata Holdings Limited for the supply and servicing of business machines in the country.
The deal will see the Scandinavian firm delivering top of the market machines to Beata Holdings.
The Swedish company, considered as one of the largest exporters of photocopiers in Europe, has a presence in 80 countries globally with 18 of them in Africa and exports over 40,000 copiers per year worldwide.

Announcing the agreement at Beata Holdings Limited head office in Lilongwe, the company’s Director of Operations Martin Nkasala said the agreement will enable Malawians get original photocopiers and printers at half the price.
“For so long, companies and organizations have been sourcing printing services from outside the country, but with this agreement, this will be a thing of the past,” he said.
The agreement, according to Nkasala, will also see youths being trained in repairing of the printers and photocopiers.
“The initial plan is to start with about 40-50 young people who will be trained as technicians and will be employed by Beata Holdings Limited.
“So its not just a business agreement that will only benefits the two companies but it will also create job opportunities for Malawians,” he said.
Nkasala said the company strive to become the top leading service provider by bringing innovative and demand-driven products and services.
“Our aim is to provide excellentand affordable services for the growth of our clients’ business,” he said.
Scandi Gruppen AB Managing Director Tryggve Erlandsson confirmed that the new partnership with Beata will extend to providing free training to Malawian youths on how to service the machines.
“We will educate many young girls and boys here in Malawi to be technicians. We will open an academy and bring Swedish engineers and technicians to provide training in servicing the machines,” Erlandsson said.
Incorporated under the Companies Act in 2016 after trading as Beata Investments Limited since 2011, the company has two subsidiaries in the name of Beata Printing and Novablanca Suites and Conferences.
