Central Region Volleyball League elects new executive
The Central Region Volleyball League, now has a new executive committee following an Elective Annual General Meeting held at Kumudzi Centre along Bunda Road in Lilongwe last Monday.
The new executive will be in office from 2018 to February 2020.
Robert White was elected Chairperson unopposed. Lutufyo Kayange will be his vice after amassing 26 votes against 23 votes for Davis Manyenje who was vying for the same post.
Trasizio Chikaonda has been elected General Secretary with 38 votes. His opponent Trust Mtegha got 13 votes. Sunganani Mandala has been elected Vice General Secretary unopposed.
The position of Treasurer has gone to Phillip Chibwana who scooped 36 votes against 15 for Paul Malange.
McGodwin Mangani and Sunduzwayo Mashunga have been elected Publicity Secretary and Vice Publicity Secretary respectively, both of them unopposed.
Committee members are Orama Massa, Dr Davis Mkwambisi, Gershom Butao, Ananias Mfune, Nyadani Chaika, Taonga Kalolokesya, Kingsley Gwaza and Davie Banda.
Volleyball Association of Malawi (VAM) representative, Elton Ng’ombe hailed the new executive and wished them well during their tenure of office.
