Airtel Malawi public relations officer Edith Tsilizani said the clinic will over the Malawian youngsters amazing opportunities to improve their football skills and also offer them wide networking opportunities.

The clinic, held at the Tanzania’s National Stadium from Sunday to Thursday, aims at nurturing the talents of the 14 youngsters, who performed well during the Airtel Rising Stars competitions involving U-17 players from various secondary schools in the four countries.

According to The Citizen of Tanzania, Man U’s legend Robbo said he believes the programme will serve as a “corner stone towards football prosperity.”

“I am happy that the Airtel Rising Stars programme plans to benefit young soccer players less than 17-years-old who, in my opinion, are the basis of the sport’s success,” he said.

Airtel Rising Stars is a Pan Africa-wide program that provides a platform for the budding footballers to show their skills to leading scouts and coaches and earn an opportunity to upgrade their talents.
