Moyale, Civo, Lions and Eagles win in Standard Bank
Four teams are just a step ahead to go through to the semifinals in the Standard Bank Cup after winning their first leg on Saturday.
Red Lions, Moyale Barracks, Civo United and Blue Eagles also registered wins on Saturday.
At Kamuzu Stadium, visiting Red Lions came from behind to beat Escom United 3-2 courtesy of Mphatso Ngwira, Emmanuel Banda and Kumbukani Mwambeni while Escom reduced the scores through Heston Munthali and an own goal by Red Lions defender Dennis Nkutu.
Escom United coach Charles Manda blamed his players for misusing many scoring opportunities especially in the first half of the game.
“We have ourselves to blame because we missed a lot of scoring chances. We could have wrapped up the game in the first half, “said Manda, whose side has a tough assignment in any away fixture next weekend to the soldier’s back yard.

At Area 30, Blue Eagles were a better side against Mafco FC as they managed to prune them 4-1.
The Cops, who scored through Peter ‘Shoes’ Mgangira, Maxwell Masiyano and a brace from John Banda have to travel to Chitowe next Saturday for their return match.
