Accept Jesus Christ today

This week I have been touched by a sudden death of Evangelist Shadreck Jonas  Wame who was a true man of God. It gives me peace to know that the decision he made to surrender his life to Jesus Christ was not just a temporary one, but He gave his life to God’s work with his entire live.  Yes many are shocked and worried as I am as it is costly to the work of God but the bible tells us that; “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints” (Psalms 116:15).

All these events just made me think that this could happen to anybody and without knowing our Lord Jesus Christ means going to hell. Hell is real while heaven is also real. Millions are in hell right now because they thought they would make a decision to follow Jesus tomorrow but little did they know that tomorrow was not guaranteed.

Matthew 25 tells us that the Kingdom of Heaven shall be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom.  The lamps represent the light of Christ in all believers which comes the moment we accept Him as our Savior. Five were wise and took oil in their vessels while five were foolish and never took any oil with them.

The foolish virgins represents that they began to live their lives outside the domain of the Holy Spirit while the wise represents children of God who have a constant flow of the Holy Spirit within their hearts and lives. All of them did not know when the bridegroom would come which happened at a time that the foolish five’s oil was finished and they had no lamps hence could not get in as the door was shut and even when they came back pleading Lord, Lord open for us because he answered them that He does not know them.

Many are in the same situation as the five virgins because the light that they had is no longer there yet they still think they are saved.  This is a bad place to be especially because we do not know the hour that the bridegroom will come.

We are not being asked to do anything hard because Jesus has done it all once and for all but all we need to do is to accept Him as our personal Savior.

Take note that saying the words alone will not save anybody, but you have to make that decision with all your heart and the Holy Spirit will begin transforming you. In our ability, we cannot do anything, but it is all possible with God for He knows what has gone wrong within our lives (Mark 10:27).
