Aford lone MP Chihana booted from Parliament over Chilima remarks

1. Dr Zangazanga Chikhosi SPC was the patriotic senior designer of Vision 2020 together with Dr Ng’ombe and other ECONOMISTS in the Department of Economic Planning and Development. Surely VP Dr Chilima is working with Dr Chikhosi.
   I worked with Dr Chikhosi team during Vision 2020 meetings. Vision 2020 was designed to make Malawians take full control and own local economic development projects in Malawi.

   In the case of Salima Sugar Factory which is under Greenbelt initiative now, if it were Vision 2020 it would have trained the trainable local citizens in Salima especially those who owned the land of the project area in Sugar Factory Management, sugarcane growing, sugar production, machinery operations, all factory logistics. The Malawi Government would have identified an international sugar market in advance. All payments would have been made to the local sugar production players in Salima Sugar production cooperatives. By now Salima would have had many MILLIONAIRES based in Salima. Cash flow in Salima would have transformed Salima instantly. Government would have been benefiting from the widened tax base taxes.

   So it is clear that Vision 2020 is over shadowing Vision 2063. Vision 2063 cannot be implemented without implementing Vision 2020 ideologies first.

   Vision 2063 has cast it’s net too wide beyond many present generations aspirations making it impossible to succeed.

   SPC in not over shadowing VP.

2. if this adminstration differs from their predecessor, every malawian must have to 2063 plan document more especially parliamentalians there is no need of keeping it as if its a classified document.

The deal to interdict all DCs and chief executives of councils is a way of trying to create vacancies for their friends. party zealots and relatives.

7. 2020 was for poverty reduction, 2063 is for wealth creation. The question is whether poverty has been reduced or not. We cannot talk about 2063 unless we address the shortfalls of the 2020 vision that is still pending. Chihana was right, he asked very interesting and thought-provoking questions.

12. Chihanda was right. Chikuosi is destroying the civil services and its rumoured he wants to send the under qualified Bendulo as director of e government. What stupid decision. E government has people with masters degrees who can be able to be directors and yet Chikhosi wants to put Bendulo as director of e government somebody with manufactured qualifications. The dude by his testimony said has no qualification when he was asked by Kaphale. Let me ask people working under e government to boycott work if indeed Chikhosi put this MSCE holder as director of e government. This stupidity must stop.

17. Penapake mmene SPC akuchitira zinthu zake its questionable. Is he being bulldozed to do things. What has just shocked me is how some Principal Secretaries receiving interdiction letters by virtue of being in those offices. I guess Chikhosi would have explained to Chakwera how to go about it. Does SPC have HIS own separate powers over Civil Service or he is waiting for Brian Banda or Kampondeni to decide for him? Kampondeni and Banda will go but Civil Service will remain the same. I see no problem in Chihana’s observation and comment.

20. It is only in Malawi where the whole MP is booted out of parliament for saying the truth. And that’s the tendency of MCP for you….. very very undemocratic. And again please DO NO rate chilima as a performer. Reforms ikumukanika chilima this is now his 7th year on Reforms koma with zero performance. Akungotupa masaya basi fotseki!!!

23. To me, Mr Chihana has a point irrespective of the spirit in which his statement may have been. To state that Chikhosi is incompetent is stating the obvious that many writings have been pointing. A lot of alleged rote is happening on agencies directly under Chikhosi’s fold; DODMA, NOCMA, State House etc

26. This guy Chihana looks very brave. It seems when he raises points that don’t go down well with Tonse Alliance,then note that there is more fiber of truth in it. Remember he raised an issue about some members within the cabinet soliciting bribes from indians and after being rebuked, the crossroads saga proved him correct. Watch about this Chikhosi guy, when time is ripe in around 2024 close to 2025 general election, Chilima will loosen the cat from its bag.
