Aford members hit back at panga-wielding DPP Cadets, injure 18 in Karonga

Over 18 ruling  Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) notorious youth cadets are battling for their lives at Kiwe hospital after sustained severely injuries at the political rally organised by Alliance for Democrcay (Aford) around Kaporo area.

Chihana: Rebuilding Aford

The rally which was attended by hundreds of Aford  supporters was graced by the party’s president Enoch Chihana and another party MP Frank Mwenifumbo.

The DPP Cadets  were heard declaring that they would not allow other parties to take the limelight away from them and wanted to disrupt the rally.

Clad in DPP memorabilia and wielding pangas, the  Cadets invaded the Afor venue for the rally and started chasing people.

However, the cadets where overpowered by AFORD supporters.

Aford president Chihana described the development as “retrogressive” to the democracy which DPP did not take part to fight for.

Fearless  youths activist Steven Simsokwe said DPP officials should clean its house before reaching 2019 general elections.

According to him,  DPP is  creating a political environment of  bloodshed especially if the Cadets will not be tamed.

“DPP cadets should not regard themselves as superior. They should stop intimidating others,” said Simsokwe.

Since Mwenifumbo joined AFORD, many people in Karonga followed him.

The rally was attended by hundreds of people yet it was conducted by the president. Mwenefumbo boasts of having many supporters in Karonga yet the reporter talks of the attendance in hundreds. If the reporter knows his job, this story would have been backed up with pictures of injured DPP supporters in uniform. My observation is that this is a fake story, it never happened, and those commenting to discredit DPP have a shallow thinking capacity otherwise they would have known that the story in this report is a fake. Or the reporter wants us to know that Afford have… Read more »

DPP should not underestimate the prowess of Karonga youth. Here is one of the hotspots if serious violence if provoked. These guys are fearless and they can fight. It is good for DPP accept that Aford has resurrected and will stay.

I told you. The only way to deal with these cadet thugs is to fight hit back. They will fear you. Nx time they come just kill one or two. They will stop their thuggery behaviour. Show them that northerners don’t tolerate nonsenses. They can do that elsewhere
