Airtel connects Malawi Police with K2.9mil office equipment to Sanctuary Police Unit

Airtel Malawi on Wednesday bailed out Lilongwe Nature Sanctuary police Unit by donating K2.9million office equipment.

The equipment include Computers, File cabinet, chairs cooling fans and many others.

Airtel Managing Director, Charles Kamoto said Airtel value security in day to today activities at home when travelling and at work place in the overall protection loved ones and assets.

“You will agree with me that our security service providers face various operational challenges in their quest to offer even basic security services in the country and that government alone may not be able to address these challenges,” said Kamoto.

Kamoto said the donation was part of Airtel’s corporate social responsibility.

Receiving the donation, Sanctuary Police Unit Officer In charge Patrick Kapanga said it  will help motivate the police in ensuring a safe and secure Malawi.

“We used to give hand written Police reports to our clients and these were being rejected in various places including by the courts but now we will be able to have our reports printed ,” said Superintendent Kapanga.
