Airtel Money Country Director, Andrew Santhe said they had already communicated with the disqualified winners before conducting a new draw to select new winners.

“For the fairness of the competition and to abide by the set regulations, the company decided to disqualify the last week’s winners. We talked to them and they understood the situation,” said Santhe.

Santhe dismissed suggestions that they overlooked the two disqualified numbers, saying it is impossible to note the illegible contestants until the draw is done.

“We can’t decipher any number that participates in our competitions. It can only be known once the draws are done; that is why we moved in swiftly to disqualify the two after it was noted they have direct relationship with the company, which is in contrast with set regulations”.
