Airtel donates K5mil towards Malawi Marketers’ conference
Airtel Malawi has donated K5 million to Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) towards this year’s Annual General Conference which will take place at Sunbird Nkopo;a Lodge in Mangochi from Thursday up to Sunday.
According to Airtel Malawi marketing director Emmanuel Kasambara , the compnay decided to dedicate substantial amount of money to the conference in order to appreciate the role of marketers in every institution across Malawi.
“This conference focuses on developing the skills and aptitude of marketers in the country, and as Airtel Malawi we provide globally admired technologies and services to give Malawian an easy and dependable way to connect to the world,” said Kasambara.
He also said the donation underlines the role that marketers plays in promotion of business.
CIM Malawi Chapter vice-president Timothy Ngwira hailed Airtel Malawi for what he described ‘timely donation’ and urged other companies to follow suit.
He said during this year’s AGM they have invited experts from different places such South Africa.
“We are very thankful to Airtel Malawi because for this AGM to happen we need help from different organizations’,” he said.
It will take place from September 10 to 14 will be the fourth by CIM Malawi.
