Airtel Malawi winds up ‘extra time’ promo: Mechanic wins K1 million

One of the country’s leading mobile operators Airtel Malawi Limited on Tuesday 2nd June, 2013 concluded the Extra time promotion which was an eight day competition.

The competition was briefly introduced as an addition to the Bola Kunthazi promotion where by its customers had to win Toyota Hillux pick up’s.

During the eight day extra time promotion period, a single customer was awarded a prize of K1 million daily.

The 8th and last extra time draw on Tuesday, saw  a 46 year old man Thomas Nyirenda from Mzuzu whose occupation is Mechanic won the last K1 million prize.

Speaking at the last draw where also a prize presentation to two of the previous winners namely Amos Malunga and Elify Sapangira  was made, Airtel Malawi Marketing Executive Isabel Kachinjika hailed their  customers for their support.

“Bola Kunthazi has been very good, it’s a football promotion and after we saw that participation was high we actually came up with Extra time that is about eight days ago. We decided to give K1 million daily and the response has been very good,” explained Kachinjika.

Commenting on the final draw to be held on July 9th where the luckiest customer is to win a grand prize  of a Toyota Fortuner, Kachinjika encouraged all customers to continue taking part to the competition.

“I just want to encourage all our customers to watch out for the grand prize which is a Toyota Fortuner you have to to participate until the 7th July to qualify for the final draw to take place on 9th July,” said Kachinjika.
