Airtel sends Blantyre businessman to watch Manchester City vs Middlesbrough match

Blantyre business tycoon Farouk Mussa has been accorded a courtesy to travel to England by Airtel Malawi to watch a live English Premiership live encounter between Manchester City and Middlesbrough  this weekend.

Mussa, got the premier acknowledgement and appreciation after registering an average monthly airtime usage of over half a million kwacha for three consecutive months.

Speaking at a media conference held in Blantyre on Monday, Airtel’s Director of Customer Services Sibusiswe Nyasulu said customer commitment and brand loyalty should not be taken for granted in business errands.

“ Mr Mussa is an outstanding customer, his commitment and loyalty to Airtel is today being reciprocated into a courtesy from us as Airtel. This trip is premier way to treat a remarkable premier customer,” she said.

Nyasulu said Mussa leaves for England through Chileka Airport this Wednesday and among other things Airtel is responsible for his return ticket, accommodation, and airport shuttle and travel allowance throughout his stay there.

Within a minimum usage of MK30,000 one qualifies to be part of Airtel Premier Club which has exclusive benefits like customized call centre, bonuses, birthday suprises, special invitations to events and priority pass lounges in airport.

Over the past  years, other lucky premier customers have also been selected to watch live matches in Manchester.

In  his remarks, Mussa hailed Airtel Malawi for this gesture and urged other Airtel customers to try their best so that they can Premier customers.

Mussa said he was too excited because this will be his first time to go to UK.

“Being my first trip to UK, lam so grateful and l cannot wait to watch Man City game,” said Mussa, who is a number one Arsenal fan and Be Forward Wanderers FC back home.
