American envoy hands over library to Bolero Secondary School in Rumphi
United States of America Ambassador to Malawi, Virginia Palmer handed over a library building constructed courtesy of the Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Fund through to Bolero Secondary School on July 14, in the area of Paramount Chief Chikulamayembe, Rumphi District.
This library will be used by over 750 students every year.
Handing over the library block, the Chief of Mission said, “The U.S. Embassy is happy to help empower students by improving their education. I hope that this library open’s up an opportunity for you to study hard and improve your examination results.”
In September2014, the U.S. Embassy granted $6,000 to the Borelo Secondary School to procure materials for constructing of a library block.
Active in Malawi since 1966, the Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Fund strives to address urgent development needs at the local community level and to demonstrate U.S. interest in the welfare and self-help endeavors of local communities throughout the country.
Bwanji inu Achekechekeni mukhale chete! Nditha kumuulula amene wachita pull the strings to library imeneyi ipite ku Bolelo. Since when did this school or any of schools from there win an award of academic execellency. That is a state of art library even Chanco or Poly does not have a carpet in the library ndiye musamati government can manage to build such a facility for Sec. Schools.
Given to right people in appropriate area, in some places, they would demolish it, take the material and build pit latrines, ziwaya za chipisi and the like. Bravo USA Ambassador bravo USA
That is why federal government is really what we need, look white people come all the way from America and build libraries for Malawians while the government is their.Tell me what does that suppose to mean??Does that really show we have a government in this country if all the development is being done by foreigners??mxm
