APM appoints Joseph Mwandidya deputy chief spy
President Peter Mutharika has appointed Joseph Mwandidya as deputy director of National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
Sources at State House confirmed to Nyasa Times that Mutharika has appointed Mwandidya to deputize Nicholas Dausi who was appointed to head the State spy agency last month.
This is one of the appointments Mutharika has made since taking over reigns of power after winning the controversial May Tripartite Elections.
Mwandidya, an established entrepreneur, is a political Science graduate from Georgia State University.
Currently Mutharika is yet to name replacements for fired Director of Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Justice Renzine Nzikamanda and Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Bruno Kalemba.
