Bazuka Mhango Jnr, Mike Mlombwa Jnr among suspects on Mlusu’s car theft

Malawi Police in Blantyre have arrested three men, among them Bazuka Khumbo Mhango Jnr, for allegedly stealing a car belonging to former General Manager for Nico, Felix Mlusu.

Mike Mlombwa Jnr: Arrested

Mhango Jnr, aged 22 and a student at Blantyre International University in Blantyre, is son to former Justice Minister Bazuka Khumbo Mhango.

The other arrested suspects have been identified as 25 year-old Edward Theu, a Designer at Rom Technologies in Blantyre and 21 year-old Hebert Msiska, a student at National College of Information and Technology (NACIT) in Blantyre.

Meanwhile, law enforcers are hunting for Mike Mlombwa Junior, son to business magnate and owner of Country Wide Group of Companies, Mike Mlombwa; Tiane Nkhonjera and Carlo Laura over the same offence.

Mlombwa Jnr and Maura are students at Malawi College of Accountancy (MCA) while Nkhonjera’s full particulars are not known.

According to details made available to Nyasa Times, the suspects stole Nissan Tiida Latio (Beige in colour) registration number BU 6738 and was stolen from Victor Mlusu [son to Felix Mlusu] at Dusk Till Dawn, one of the night clubs in the commercial city.

However, the car, which was stolen at around 1 am at the drinking joint on Wednesday, has been recovered by Malawi Police’s Anti-motor Vehicle Theft Unit.

Upon making a formal report on 26th October 2017, sources were planted and with intelligence analyzed, it was gathered that the said vehicle was being offered for sale for breaking purposes.

Another source was employed to pose as possible buyer who arranged to purchase the vehicle.

Besides several changes of venue to meet, the suspects showed up with the vehicle at place they suggested to meet with the possible buyer.

The move led to the arrest of Mhango Jnr, Theu and Msiska while the others managed to escape.

The suspects also sold valuables [four smartphones –Samsung X6, Apple, and Sonny Experia, and Lenovo T450 laptop Computer] they found in the car within Blantyre and investigations underway to recover the items and also apprehend suspects on the run

Bazuka Jr. passed away some years back. So you mean Khumbo’s son.

Mbuzi za Ana. Not because they needed money but because they are as shoes pretending to be a badass gang! Lock them up no bail because their parents will encourage them by bailing them out.
