Blantyre United sack manager, assistant coach: Sign dumped Wanderers players
As the 2012-2013 TNM Super League first round draws closer, teams have already started shaking their technical panel with Blantyre United being the first team to sack their assistant coach and team manager.
Blantyre United also popularly known as,”Mphembedzu” have shown an exit-door to their team manager Mike Kachiwaya alongside the assistant coach Steven Mbulaje.
Blantyre United technical director Lawson Nakoma confirmed the news with Nyasa Times.
“We have released the two because we feel they have done their part and let others try their luck. All in all we are very thankful for their job during the time they worked for us,” said Nakoma.
Nakoma, who also accepted that Mphembedzu are finding it tough in the 2012-2013 soccer season revealed that they have roped in two axed Mighty Wanderers players Nafe Msasa and Anthony Banda to beef up their squad.
Nakoma said after an assessment, they discovered that their midfield was not ticking and that Msasa can be the answer to their problem.
“This season things are not going on our way and we feel the coming in of Msasa and Banda will change things in the second round,” he said.
Blantyre United lies on twelve slot with 9 points from 12 games and they only managed to secure 2 victories, seven lose and 3 draws.
