Deputy Inspector General of Malawi Police Service Rodney  Jose disclosed this after the team had an audience with the Inspector General Lexten Kachama.

Jose, who is an avid soccer fan and his son Chipiliro played for Super League clubs Silver Strikers and defunct Escom United, said it was high time for the team to go for the league honours.

He assured the players that the executive committee would explore ways and means to commercialise the running of the club.

But he did not divulge more information regarding the move.

“We need to strategise on how we can manage to win the league title,”Jose said.

“We have been so close to winning a league title.”

He said Blue Eagles could partner with another firm to boost its sponsorship position.
