Board suspends water disconnection campaign over crazy bills
Northern Region Water Board says it has suspended its water disconnection campaign over unrealistic water bills which sent customers crazy.

Northern Region Water Board public relations officer Edward Nyirenda has confirmed the suspension of the disconnection campaign.
“This is due to technical glitches that our new billing system is facing,” said Nyirenda.
Some customers had been receiving water bills of K50, 000 a month from the normal K5, 000 and Nyirenda urged those with such awkward bills to report to the board for clearance and verification.
The board decided to move from post-paid to prepaid billing water meters to curb unpaid billing amounting to K4 billion which Nyirenda said crippled the board’s operations.
He said the move seeks to maximize revenue from water sales as almost 75 per cent of total sales are in arrears owned by customers most of them government institutions.

Which is one is a legal document between the bills that the board issue to customer or their invitation to expalain their incompetence. The other problem i have noticed is that their employees have the audacity of shouting to customers and refusing to customers for their mistake.
Mr Edward Nyirenda, the trust in your institution is completely gone! To rescue and clear yourself, you have to bring in an international accredited organisation to clear your swamp and investigate into your whole mess! This is an criminal act and have nothing anymore to do with technical glitches…!

1) You disturbed my time visiting your office= psychological torture
2) You ployed to steal from me=theft
3) You failed to analyze your data in the database and you charge me= Theft
4) Negligence of duty on your part
You have said the fake bills were caused by a technical glitch,why then should customers waste there precious time coming to your offices for the so called clearance & verification? Maybe your system is compromised,maybe a ghost user logged in,deleted the customer billing data & entered crazy meter readings…please clear the glitch and produce normal bills. By the way, where is CAMA?
