Champions Big Bullets have finally confirmed that they will be travelling to the Capital Lilongwe to participate in a two day Bonanza dubbed Intercity Soccer Bonanza.
This comes amid reports that there have been disagreements between the club executive committee members as some were against the team’s participation claiming the players need to rest.
But Bullets vice General Secretary Kelvin Moyo said on Wednesday that all the misunderstandings have been sorted out and an agreement has been made to participate.
“There was a breakdown of communication within the executive committee but we have resolved that we are travelling to Lilongwe for the Bonanza,” said Moyo.
According to Moyo, the technical team also backed the idea of participating to the bonanza with an aim of playing some players who have had little game time in the first round of the league season.
Four teams namely Big Bullets, Civo United Silver Strikers and Blue Eagles will take part.
According to the draw held on Tuesday, Civo will face rivals Silver while Bullets face Silver Strikers on Saturday.
The winners will meet in the finals on Sunday.
According to head of the organizing committee Frank Katundulu, all is set for the competition.
Katundulu said the winning team will cut home K2 Million, the second placed will pocket K750,000.00, third place K500,000.00 while fourth placed will receive K250,000.00.
