Bullets fans warn Nyasa: ‘Pay up players or face consequences’

Just a day after Nyasa Manufacturing Company (NMC) Limited suspended sponsorship to Nyasa Big Bullets due to ongoing leadership wrangles, Bullets Supporters Committee have issued an ultimatum to the cigarette manufacturing compnay calling for players  February salaries.

In a letter issued by the commitee and submitted to Nyasa, the supporters says they have an interim executive committee in place and are suprised with claims made by the company in their reasons for suspending the sponsorship.

” We write following wrangles between supporters and NMC sponsorship. Bullets supporters have an interim executive committee. This has led to NMC suspending sponsorship effective yesterday [Monday].

“We have also learned that NMC want our Chairman Stone Mwamadi be removed from his position and replaced by someone they would prefer. As supporters we are not tolerating this.

“We would therefore like to ask NMC to pay players salaries for February by Tuesday 5Pm. We would like to mention that if NMC fail to do so, we are of the stand that they pull out from this partnership,” reads part of the letter.

Nyasa Chairman Konrad Buckle  said in an interview  they have been served with the letter but said he would not immediately comment.
