Bwaila Media club elect Wisdom leader: New office bearers

Award winning investigative journalist Wisdom Chimgwede has been elected as new Bwaila Media club (BMC) chairperson during its indaba held in Lilongwe last Saturday.

BMC is a grouping of media affiliated members in the country’s Central Region.

Chimgwede said will work for the common good of members of the Club.

He was elected unopposed, and takes over the leadership mantle from journalist Peter Makawa of MBC.

“We must work together as a team for the betterment of Malawi media,” said Chimgwede.

Chimgwede will be deputized by journalist, inspirational writer and newspaper columnist Rodgers Siula.

Others elected include Steve Chilundu (Secretary General) and photojournalist Lisa Vintulla of Malawi News Agency (Vice). Augustine Mulomole will handle the BMC’s purse.

 Nyasa Times journalist Alfred Chauwa was elected committee member alongside Mirriam Kaliza, Grace Kapatuka and Macdonald Thom of Times Group.
