Bullets FC eyes K1m first round prize money: Malawi TNM Super League
Malawi TNM Super League defending champions, Big Bullets, who are now five points clear and sit comfortably at the summit of the log table unbeaten with 26 points, have vowed not drop points in their two first round remaining games.
They have played 12 games and will conclude the first round campaign against Airborne Rangers and Epac FC, respectively.
Bullets, widely known as The People’s Team, is targeting first round K1 million prize that is given to league leaders by the sponsors, TNM.
“We want to conclude the first round with the unbeaten record and we don’t want to drop any point. We are also eyeing K1 million prize. We need the money, as such we will fight tooth and nail to finish the first round on position one,” said veteran forward Chiukepo Msowoya, who scored seven goals so far.
Sources have told Nyasa Times that should Bullets conclude first round on position one, the K1 million prize money will be shared among all the players, “the club will not get even single tambala”.
“We have assured the players that the money will be theirs should they win the remaining two games in the first round. Ideally, we want to motivate and encourage as we look to defending to the championship. So if the conclude first round on position one, the money will be shared among them, the club will not get anything,” said one of the sources, who asked for anonymity.
