Bullets tame Masters Security to book Malawi Carlsberg Cup Round of 16 game against Tigers

Nyasa Big Bullets FC beat Malawi’s second tier league side Masters Security 5-0 on Wednesday at Kamuzu Stadium in the Carlsberg Cup Round of 32 to book a date with fellow TNM Super League side Azam Tigers in the Round of 16.

Goals from Chiukepo Msowoya (2), Kondwani Kumwenda, Emmanuel Zoya and veteran Fischer Kondowe, shrugged off resistance from Masters Security FC, who are in the second tier Premier Division also sponsored by Masters Security.

Another TNM Super League encounter in the Round of 16 will be between Mighty Be Forward Wanderers against Kamuzu Barracks.

Incidentally, Wanderers host Kamuzu Barracks this Saturday at Kamuzu Stasium in the TNM Super League encounter.

Wanderers srruggled to beat their junior side, Wanderers Reserves 1-0 at the same venue.

Another all TNM Super League sides encounter in thw Round of 16 will be between Moyale and either Mafco or Dwangwa United, who meet on Thursday 28th July 2016.

Other Round of 16 matches are Zomba United vs Prison/Epac, Civo Youth vs. Red Lions, Wizards FC vs Mzuzu United, Silver Strikers vs Zolozolo, Warm Heart Bullets vs Mangochi Police.

Wizards FC, who are struggling in the TNM Super League, beat Blue Eagles 2-1 on Wednesday with two goals from Hendrix Misinde while Gilbert Chirwa scored the consolation for the cops.

Silver Strikers beat their TNM Super League rivals Civo United 1-0 through a goal from their sniper Mathews Sibale.

Warm Heart Bullets beat Mzuni 1-0 while Karonga United ousted Moyale Barracks 1-0 from a goal scored by Christopher Zgambo.

On Thursday, Mafco FC date Dwangwa United at Chitowe Stadium while Prison United meet Epac FC at Zomba Community Centre.

The Round of 16 matches will be played between 5-7 August 2016.
