Bullets, Wanderers remain unbeaten as Malawi TNM Super League rolls into 8th week
The K90 million TNM Super League rolls off into eighth week this weekend and half way into the first round , the defending champions Big Bullets are leading the log table with 16 points from eight games they have played so far.
So sar 54 games have been played and 129 goals have been scored, according to Super League of Malawi (Sulom) fixture officer Patrick Chisale.
“Reigning champions Big Bullets are currently leading with 16 points from 8 games they have played, have a perfect home record so far since they have managed to correct maximum points at home.
“Bullets together with their arch rivals Nomads (Be Forward Wanderers) and The Eagles (Blue Eagles) remain unbeaten in the league this far. Bullets have scored the most goals -15, while Kamuzu Barracks is mean at the back after conceding a few goals -5,” explained Chisale.
He also observed that the top seven teams in the league have a positive goal difference while the bottom seven teams have a negative one and Red Lions stuck in the middle with a zero goal difference.
Rookies Surestream F.C only managed to collect a point from their two away games against Air Borne Rangers and Epac FC on Saturday and Sunday respectively. They lost 2-1 to the Rangers before a goalless draw with Epac.
Surestream and Civo FC, who are now anchoring the log table, are yet to register a win.
Airborne Rangers, Dedza Young Soccer, Epac F.C, Surestream F.C and Civo United are also yet to manage an away win while Big Bullets, Blue Eagles, Nomads, Azam Tigers, Mzuni F.C and rookies Dedza Young Soccer have at least performed well at home.
“The Nomads have this far been good travellers after managing 12 points collection (3wins and 3 draws) though at par with Kaukau who also have 12 away points but have lost once,” said Chisale.
Blue Eagles forward John Malidadi Jnr. is leading the top scorers chart and only one with a hat trick in the elite league so far.
Epac’s Richard Chande is only player recorded to have scored in his own net.
