Bushiri finalises a $200mil deal with South Sudan for roads and mining

Since last year, Prophet Bushiri, both under the banner of Shepherd Bushiri Investments (SBI) and also as a president of the African Christian Coalition for Israel Ltd (AFRICC), has been in discussions with South Sudan government over possibilities of investments in the country. This is the second deal that Prophet Bushiri is clinching with the South Sudan  government.

On Tuesday, Prophet Bushiri, after a series of discussions and engagement,  flew to South Sudan and finalised a $200 million investment package in areas of infrastructure and extractive industry.

The deal will see SBI, through a public private partnership (PPP), partnering with South Sudan government in mantainance of old roads and construction of new ones; construction of oil refineries and also in exploration and  extracting of minerals.

South Sudan is a country rich in oil and minerals. It is Africa’s newest country after gaining independence in 2011 from Sudan, now North Sudan.

Commenting after the processes, Prophet Bushiri said it is high time Africans took control of their destiny.

“African problems needs to be solved by African solutions. African entreprenuers need to take a lead in investing in their continent. Investments in Africa need not be associated with those outside Africa only.

“We want African  governments to develop confidence in their African investors. Through this, money will only be circulating within the continent. This means more opportunities within the continent for our people,” he said.

He further hailed the Sudan government for opening up to local investors and also working tirelessly to develop their country and it’s people.

“President Savor Kiir, his vice Dr James Igga and the entire cabinet, with only few resources at their disposal, are passionate about uplifting their people and they are reaching out to potential friends out there to stand with them,” he said.

He has even urged the world to come and be part of reviving our beloved brothers and sisters in South Sudan by doing business with them.

Vice president Igga, who called Prophet Bushiri visit ‘historical’, hailed the man of God for visiting and also not just feeding their people spiritually but also physically through the investment deals.

He urged African leaders to support each other by ensuring that local African investors are given all the support to help move the continents.

  1. Fellow Malawians, we need to take a close look at ourselves. Yes, a very close look. There are a number of very successful Malawian business people doing their business outside Malawi. It is not only Prophet Bushiri. We need to stop and ask ourselves why this is so. If we can put politics aside and realistically, critically and truthfully do some soul searching, we can easily find solutions to some of the seemingly insurmountable problems we are facing now. ,Mwamva.

  4. Look carefully, people who believe this Bushiri foolishness fall under one or some of these categories: sick and in denial, in search of instant money without working for it, in search of a marriage partner without kufunsila or kufunsilidwa, outright dull and stupid.
Otherwise why cant you see that this guy claims to be rich but cant even build a church house in Malawi? Where have you heard of a university without a website? Tulo basi…..ngati mwadwala, imwani mankhwala, mukufuna ndalama, gwilani ntchito, osati za I receive zanuzo! Mukufuna banja, funsilani or funsilidwani. Thats why forward thinking countries will protect their people by banning these tricksters

  5. politics is what is killing our country malawi. The time we shall open our spiritual eyes, we shall know who prophet bushiri is. But as for now, we’re still blind, lets the people of South Africa and other country benefit from what He is doing. We the Malawians, our job is just to talk.

  6. Is this another of Bushiris scams ? So now he is trying to scam the Govt of S Sudan or is he just bribing them? Is he mining the roads with landmines ?

  7. Congratulations Prophet. You are indeed an example to many. May God continue to bless you and grant you more wisdom. Please come to Malawi to help us get out of the poverty trap.

  8. I believe as a country as a people we are missing something out of this gentleman, i believe it is high time we reflect, and foresee the future, engage and involve every single Malawian who can uplift the face of this nation and put a smile on the faces of Malawians (Politics aside) everything is possible

  9. An investor, a strategist. A visionary. But hated in his own nation. Pathetic Malawi. No wonder the poorest nation in the world.
