South Africa-based billionaire president of Shepherd Bushiri Investments (SBI) and leader of the Enlightened Church Gathering (ECG), Shephered Bushiri is expected to arrive in Malawi on Saturday after accepting an invitation by the Christian Youth Association of Malawi (CYAMA) to drill the youths in entrepreneurship during the seminar in Blantyre.
CYAMA invited Prophet Bushiri, popularly known as Major 1, to be the guest speaker at the Christian Youth Business Symposium to be held at Robins Park, Blantyre, this Saturday from 8:30am to 4:30 pm.
The Prophet , who is expected to stay for a week in Malawi, has said it has always been his wish to see young Malawian Christians, like himself, excel not just in spirit, but also in business.
However, the Prophet underlines that he understands that most Malawian youths are disadvantaged in areas of business management, hence, the need for capacity building and sharing experiences.
“I may not be a professor of business management, but I believe I possess a certain knowledge and experience in this field that I feel my fellow Malawian Christian youths can learn and get inspired from,” he said.
The Prophet has since called on Malawian Christian youths to support CYAMA by turning up in numbers at Robins Park this Saturday.
“I have seen the list of speakers. They are all great young men whom I admire and I know I will learn much from them. I am looking forward to the day and I am praying for God’s guidance,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bushiri’s communications director has refuted a report that the conference will also have leader of opposition Lazarous Chakwera.
The Weekly Globe newspaper reported on Friday that Bushiri is using Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and is its party’s strategist using the seminar to advance political ambitions.
But the Major 1 through his communications director said his entrprenuershop skill talk show is apolitical.
“Prophets Bushiri has said time and again that he is not interested in politics and any assertionsdragging his name to politics is propaganda and malice,” the billionaire prophet’s spokesman said.
Asked if the propaganda is the work of ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) , Bushiri said he cannot accouse the governin party for the disinformation on him but “some politicians.”Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
