Bushiri says not surprised with fresh arrest warrant over rape claims: ‘South Africa media trial’

1. I have read a number of very silly comments on this article that bordered on the farcical. The facts are the following :

   1. Mr Bushiri ran a massive church in SA with many South african followers who then and some still now admired him greatly.

   3. South Africa has thousands of foreigners that live extremely well in our country without feeling as if they are disliked or discriminated against based on their nationality.
   4. The reason Mr Bushiri fled is very clear to us since during the bail application the State Prosecutor mentioned to the court that they are investigating Rape allegations against him. Why is that important ? Recently Pastor Timothy Omotoso brought his third application for bail on charges of rape and bail was denied.
   5. Bail is not easily granted for these types of offences especially when the alleged perpetrator was in a position of trust and fearing pre trial incarceration Mr Bushiri chose to flee. That was his choice and now he will face the consequences thereof.
   6. Ask yourself who forfeits a R6.500 000 home to the State nless you are very , very scared and he is very scared but not because his life is in danger but because his freedom is.

   1. The main reason Bushiri fled is because he commited Immigration fraud. The case is clear cut. He was facing permanent ban from entering SA. He fled on wednesday because on Friday Pretoria High Court was going to rule in the favour of Home Affairs to act on its findings which is to arrest him and have him deported.

4. Bushiri don’t be a racist. Its not white police officers who are looking for you. You had committed a crime in RSA and even you need to give us details on how you had acquired diplomatic passports when you are not a diplomat.

   It is your doing that has brought you to where you are so please don’t shift the blame to white police officers its just police and this is not a persecution rather itsvthe reality of what happens when you misuse your position. 6. If you are old enough, you can recall stories of Malawians going to South Africa with various scams. Selling traditional medicines, car jacking, stealing from shops and so on. We have seen and heard people being killed and bounties being put on their heads. Some crooks have never gone back to South Africa because of fear of being killed.
   I am sorry to say, this case of Bushiri looks simmilar to what Malawian crooks have done in South Africa. These things have never and will never be sustainable. There is always a sad ending.

9. SA just last week extradited a 40yr old man who had fled to Brazil 9 years ago. He had murdered his girlfriend and skipped bail. Another case is of Shrien Dewani was suspected of murdering his wife in 2010. He went back to the UK but was extradited in 2014 and faced trial. Bushiri is definately going to be extradited. He ran a US$6.5m pyramid scheme, some families have been torn apart because of this. Should the govt of Malawi “protect” him from facing the full might of the law, I definately see visa restrictions on Malawi passport holders entering SA. I also forsee scores of Malawians with refugee status having it revoked since they are economic refugees.

   What surprises me is Bushiri has a lot of legal problems: fake permanent residence, unlawfully exporting his cars, rape cases and this pyramid scheme. He ran because his time was up. He will never preach in SA churches but prison.

12. Malawi is a great nation and is proud to produce a genuine prophet of God who is loved by many people globally. It’s a small Israel in Africa. SA should not be used by these Bhururus to divide black people. Africa has got its own billionaires who want to invest in their own countries why should we always look for investors from Europe who, at the end of the day, take our money’s back to their country. We have our own major prosperous prophet who helps the poor and we can’t afford to lose him. Politicians come and go but men of God will be with us for life. And the likelihood that 5 police officer would ask bribe from you is next to impossible. His legal team then informed him that as a result of this new information he will lose the bail as he is an “illegal immigrant”, the matter refers; Case Number: 43470/2020 ZAGPPHC 21 October 2020 (Residence status) at the North Gauteng High Court. Him fleeing RSA was primarily the effects of his thuggish behaviour which was at odd with the existing rules of law in the country, and mind you there are a number of foreigners in RSA who are doing well in their endevours through legitimate ways than scamming people and when caught through the tracks start playing victimhood.
