CAF selects Malawian Referee Ngulube: Three others to  officiate in Burundi

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed four Malawian FIFA Referees to officiate a Confederation CAF match this month.

Referee Dennis Nguluwe

The match is between Le Messager and Zambia’s Zesco United which will be played on 18th March at the Burundi National Stadium.

According to Malawi FA, Dennis Ngulube will be the match referee with Edward Kambatuwa as 1st Assistant Referee while Hendrix Maseko will be the 2nd Assistant Referee.

Duncan Lengani has been assigned as the 4th official (Match Commissioner).

Malawian referees have been commended for doing great work while in the line of duty on the international scene despite being heavily criticised when discharging their duties on the domestic scene accusing them of being incompetent.

This was witnessed by the suspension of some top referees during the last soccer season for making dubious decisions that also caused match abandonment in elite league games.
