Carlsberg Cup final: Pictures from Be Forward’s win over Silver

Mighty Be Forward Wanderers sealed a historic back-to-back wion of Carlsberg Cup on Saturday, beating Silver Strikers  5-4 on penalties  to defend the coverted trophy at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Matthews Sibale missed the decisive penalty during the shootout after regulation time ended 1-all to send the Nomads fans into wild scenes of celebration.

Wanderers received a trophy and K12 million in cash prize for their win that saw coach Elia Kananji record a third Carlsberg Cup win record. He won it last year with Wanderers and then a year before that he guided Big Bullets to the cup glory.

Congratulations Nyerere for winning the Carlsberg Cup back to back. However you should not feel complacent with this feat. You have to fight hard so that you can up with Bullets on TNM super league standings and also be the pioneers in winning the Fizd (not sure of spelling) Challenge Cup. Remember you are always the one to win a new cup so please don’t relax fight on because the pressure is now on you since Bullets are now second on the league table.
