Mighty Be Forward Wanderers sealed a historic back-to-back wion of Carlsberg Cup on Saturday, beating Silver Strikers 5-4 on penalties to defend the coverted trophy at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Matthews Sibale missed the decisive penalty during the shootout after regulation time ended 1-all to send the Nomads fans into wild scenes of celebration.
Wanderers received a trophy and K12 million in cash prize for their win that saw coach Elia Kananji record a third Carlsberg Cup win record. He won it last year with Wanderers and then a year before that he guided Big Bullets to the cup glory.
