CEZOBAL league games return to Civo Court

Central Zone Basketball League (CEZOBAL) second round games returns to Civo outdoor Basketball Court on Friday August 25, 2017, CEZOBAL Secretary Peter Gomani has disclosed.

In an interview  said all is well set for the second round of the competition which has no sponsorship currently.

“All the teams have confirmed to us their participation. We expect the completion to be more exciting and competitive as we have engaged competent umpires this time around,” said Gomani pointed.

The Secretary was optimistic that with the current organization of the league coupled with the passion that coaches, teams, players and fans have shown, the league would soon secure sponsorship from well-wishers.

He said that, “it is indisputable fact that organizations and individuals provide sponsorship to leagues that are well organized and managed.”

Marketing Manager for Central Knights Club, Emmanuel Phiri recently returned from Zimbabwe where his team was invited to participate in a tournament said they are ready for the show down as they had learnt new skills from in Zimbabwe.

“Our trip to Zimbabwe was so successful and had given us new experience and skills. We are ready to compete and entertain the fans,” he added while urging the fans to come in large numbers,” he viewed.

A total of 10 teams are expected to participate in the tournament.

Teams that will make into the top four will compete in the play offs to get the winner.

Currently, Brave Hearts are the league leaders.

CEZOBAL is an affiliate of Basketball Association of Malawi (BASMAL).
