He said this on Sunday when he was drumming up support for the Lilongwe Msozi North candidate, Sosten Gwengwe ahead of bye-elections next month.

“Only few elites are enjoying, Look, the prices of commodities are high and ordinary Malawians cannot afford to buy them,” said Chakwera

Chakwera urged people of Lilongwe Msozi North to vote for Gwengwe saying MCP is the only party with untainted track record.

Chakwera urged Malawians to vote out the DPP candidate saying his party has failed to serve Malawians towards the positive direction.

Prior to the rally, Chakwera and Gwengwe attended the church service at Msozi CCAP.

During the rally, Chakwera welcomed into the party members from People’s and DPP.

Meanwhile, Chakwera has warned MCP members against despising members who are joining the party.

Chakwera said there are some people who do not want change to take place in the party.

“I will not allow tha. It’s time to accommodate each and every member into the party including the new ones,” said Chakwera.

Malawi Electoral Commission is expected to hold bye-elections in three constituencies and three wards in the central and southern region on October 17, 2017.

Kapomboji, achewa salowola, Dedza is where his mother comes from while the Dad is from Nathenje – LLW so there is no problem with the relocation, so may be the problem would for those who have remained loyal to the party and aspired to represent the party when he left. Mind you there were primaries in the area in the first place and he won with majority.

Is the late Mr. Alfred Nelson Kaperekeza from Dedza or Lilongwe? Potitu iyeyu ndi mzdukulu wa a Kaperekeza pamudzi wa Mtimuni ku Nathenje. Please do your thorough research before castigating others on this platform. Ngati anthu a ku Msozi akumufuna kuti awaimire, let him do so.
