Champions Bullets beat Mzuni: Malawi TNM Super League
Two goals from Henry Kabichi and Diverson Mlozi were enough for champions Big Bullets to silence Mzuni FC in the TNM Super League on Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
In a late kick-off due to heavy rainfall, the champions scored both of their goals in the second half through Kabichi and Mlozi.
However, Mzuni was a better side in the first half, as they tied Bullets on the tight rope in all the areas.
On several occassions, Mzuni threatened on Bullets territory but they also lacked the killer punch.
Bullets main architect was Henry Kabichi, who proved all his critics wrong with his intelligent passes and moves.
Another notable player who kept Bullets engine burning was Jaffali Chande and Yamikani Fodya on the left back.
Mzuni woes continued in the 85th minute when their captain Victor Gondwe was shown a red card for a bad tackle on Chande.
The red card forced Bullets to accelerate their gear by winning ball possession but they could not find the third goal until the last whistle.
In post match interview, Mzuni Coach Alex Ngwira blamed the men in black, especially the first linesman, while Bullets coach Mabvuto Lungu saluted his troops for amassing three points.
