Chikulamayembe risks arrest on contempt of court over Mwamlowe chieftenancy
Paramount Chief Chikulamayembe is planning to install Traditional Auhtority (TA) Mwamlowe but risks arrest if he goeas ahead as court has issued an order to stop the installation.

There are unresolved misunderstanding in the Mwamlowe chieftenancy with the other family members protesting the choice of the incoming chief.
A faction Mwamlowe family hired private practice law firm, Jivason and Company to obtain a court injunction stopping Chikulamayembe and Rumphi District Council fro installing the new TA.
The chieftanaincy rotate among the three families of Kachipapa Mawmlowe, Njokofwano Mwamlowe and Chinkhuwile Mwamlowe.
According to Jivasoni and Company, the unresolved misunderstanding in the Mwamlowe family is still in High Court “which is waiting to receive the name of the rightful heir to the throne.”
