Chifundo Maganga: Young enterpreneurs should sponsor categories of Nyasa Music Awards

Dubbed “Reloaded” the party will be used to promote Nyasa Music Awards inaugural event on May 5, 2017.

According to a statement released by the organisers, there are a number of pre-shows that will take place before the awards in May.

One of the organisers Chifundo Maganga, said all was set for the African Print Party.

“We want to interact with the people in Lilongwe so that they can embrace our concept and appreciate the high standards that we want to set for the Malawian music industry,” says Maganga.

To gain entry, patrons will pay K5,000 and the dress code is African Print. The party will also be spiced up by DJ Reubie, VJ Ice, DJ Crystal and DJ Flame.

The organisers of Nyasa Music Awards are Maganga, who is owner of Options Men’s Store, Mathambo Lowole of Thambo and E Entertainment and James Makunje of Mango Entertainment and owner of 15 Club Sports Bar.

In a related development, the organisers have invited young entrepreneurs to sponsor categories of Nyasa Music Awards.

“Everyone interested can contact us and the minimum is not much. We want young entrepreneurs to choose a category which they can sponsor and in return we will help them advertise their products and services,” Maganga said.

The awards, that aim at appreciating local musicians and empower them to compete favourably on the international market, have 15 categories and the minimum sponsorship for each category is K100,000.
