Complex Tigresses beat MTL Queens, lead in GOtv League

Complex Tigresses launched their charge to claim the GOtv Netball Champions League as they are still basking comfortably on the summit table after clobbering coachless MTL Queens 26-22 baskets in a highly contested encounter on Saturday morning at Blantyre Youth Centre.

Inform Tigresses showed determination to win the Blantyre derby from the word go, as they enjoyed passes with Beatrice Mpinganjira being their lady of the match.

In the first quarter, MTL Queens was a better side as they played with confidence led by veteran Joana Kachilika despite trailing 5-6 baskets.

Came second quarter,  Tigresses accelerated their gear as they kept MTL on the tight rope with fantastic netball especially through their  pint-sized Ellen Chibokho, who stood firmly over Thandi Mwale for MTL Queens.

However, the last quarter proved tougher for MTL Queens as most of their players failed to stand a physical Tigresses.

In the third quarter, MTL lacked the steam to contain the powerful front of Sindi Simutowe until the last whistle.

In the second game, Civonets were pruning Mafco Sisters.
