Dedza farmer Chengetani Kambuzi arrested for possessing live ammunition – Malawi Police

Malawi Police in the central district of Dedza have arrested a 25 year-old man, Chengetani Kambuzi for being found in possession of 440 live ammunition and an explosive weighing five kilogrammes.

Kabango: Police PRO Dedza confirms arrest

Dedza police Public Relations Officer, Edward Kabango told the media that they arrested Kambuzi, a local farmer at Kunjawa village, following a tip-off.

“A search was conducted in his house and Police found the live ammunition plus an explosive,” explained Kabango.

Kabango said the law-enforcers have intensified investigations to identify the source of the ammunition and explosive.

Kambuzi hails from Kunjawa village, T/A Kachere in Dedza.

He will be charged on illegal possession of ammunition charges.
