Diamonds cruise to win against MTL Queens
Diamonds on Saturday showed their OG Issa Southern Region Netball League’s (SRNL) title mettle as they defeated MTL Queens 44-29 in a thrilling match at Blantyre Youth Centre as they are still basking on the summit table.
In an entertaining encounter, Caroline ‘Ayuda’ Ngwira, Towera Vinkhumbo and Jessica Sanudi in Diamonds team outclassed MTL Queens with their good combination and dazzling passes.
MTL Queens blendind a youthful squad lacked composer and speed in the first two quarters.
Diamonds were too strong on the centre where Shiera Dimba and Bridget Kumwenda enjoyed ball possession feeding Sanudi upfront.
In another game, Complex Tigresses produced a stunning performance to demolish Young Girls 122-14 baskets.
Tigresses, who are second to Diamonds has a chance to reclaim their top slot on Tuesday as they meet Gerald Tasaukadala before another fixture on the same day against Shizaella Queens.

The wins will boost chances for Tigresses that they might clinch their first league title in five years.
Meanwhile, Southern Region Netball League general secretary Anne Hanjahanja has said they have scheduled some games in the middle of the week in order to wrap-up the season in time.
Hanjahanja said it will also gice chance for Malawi Queens to prepare for different competitions that they will be engaged this year.
