Diamonds wallop Gerald, remain unbeaten in Rainbow Paints
Kukoma Diamonds extended its undefeated Rainbow Paints Southern Region Netball League run with a 103-12 win over Gerald Tasaukadala on Thursday at Blantyre Youth Centre.
Led by sharp shooter Jessica Sanudi, the cup holders outclassed the Lunzu township based out-fit in all the four quarters.
Diamonds assistant coach Griffin Saenda jnr was happy with the way her team responded during the match, as they managed to shut down Gerald’s flow in the centre third and restrict the supply of ball.
“I think Gerald are a very athletic and talented team, and they have a very good shooter, so it was a very rigorous assessment of us,” he said.
” I was pleased with the way we responded. So far so good and our aim is to defend this League.I must also salute my players because they managed to score more than 100 baskets which is very important basing on the fact that other contendors like Tigresses and Thunder Queens are also scoring many baskets,” he said.
