DPP says will win by-elections because people now know PP has no plan

The opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is optmistic of scooping the forthcoming Mzimba Parliamentary by elections, saying people now know that the People’s Party (PP) led government has failed.

Addressing campaign meetings in Mzimba, DPP vice president Goodall Gondwe and treasurer general Henry Mussa said  people have now realized that the ruling PP  has no developmental agenda for the country.

Gondwe , Malawi’s former finance minister, said DPP would focus on issue based campaigns and avoid personal attacks.

Goodall Gondwe : DPP will win

He called on people in Mzimba Central Constituency to vote for DPP candidate  Owen Mkandawire in the October 9 by-elections to replace Professor Donton Mkandawire who died last December.

Ronald Chavula will contest on DPP ticket in Mzimba South West Constituency. The constituency fell vacant following the appointment of Khumbo Kachali as the country’s Vice-President

And speaking at Kapiri Primary School and Mtuzuzu community ground, Mussa  accused the PP-government of failing to manage the economy, saying people should turn to DPP candidates in both Mzimba Central and Mzimba South West constituencies.
