DPP’s Ken Msonda dismisses APM on Bingu poisoning

A senior member of the National Governing Council (NGC) of the erstwhile governing Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Ken Msonda has expressed disbelief with allegations that President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika made Sunday  that his kid brother, late Bingu wa Mutharika, died of poisoning.

Late Bingu wa Mutharika

Msonda, who is also the Executive Director for Independent Political and Good Governance Analysts Think Tank, argues that what APM said at the presser is a big insult to Malawians.

“How can we, as a nation, have people in our midst who poisoned and killed our former head of state HE late Bingu Wa Mutharika go unpunished, possibly enjoying our hard earned tax payers funds? Bingu was not an ordinary person or just a Mutharika family and clan member, he was the State President of the republic of Malawi” he reacted.

Msonda called upon law enforcement institutions to investigate the allegations and that whoever gave the information to APM that his brother was poisoned and killed should be questioned “in strongest terms to shed more light.”

He said Malawians deserve better and that justice should prevail and truth be known on the matter.

“As stated above, this matter is not a Mutharika family and clan issues. It’ a matter of national worry, concern and importance,” added Msonda.
