Dwangwa beat KB to wrap up first round with a win: Malawi TNM Super League

Relegation candidates Dwangwa United finished their first round games on a high note with embarrasing defeat over legue defending champions Kamuzu Barracks 3-0 thumping in a match played at Chitowe Stadium.

Hassan Upindi netted a brace whi skipper Jack Chiona scored the third goal.

This means that Dwangwa have managed to win three games, two draws and they have lost 10 times.

They finish the first round in the relegation zone with 11 points.

Straight from their fruitful tour in the North, Civil Sporting Club were held 1-1 by Azam Tigers at the Chilomoni Stadium.

Fletcher Bandawe was on Target for the Civil Servants while Luke Chima equalised for the Kau Kau Boys in the dying minutes of the game.

In Lilongwe, Silver Strikers closed in on leaders Mighty Be Forward Wanderers with a 1-0 win over Mzuni FC.

Binwell Katinji scored the loan goal.

The Bankers now have 26 points two behind Wanderers and they have a chance to go top if they win on Sunday against Blantyre United at
home.
