Africa Parks is restocking the game reserve with animals including over 500 elephamts from Liwonde National Park after years it was ambandoned following years of poaching which got rid the reserve o all its anoimals.

African Parks official Samuel Kamoto confirmed an elephant killed one person in Ntchisi just weeks after the hair raising expensive exercise for the relocation of the mammoth animals.

“We will indeed sit with communities just to tell them how to react when the animals come out of the game reserve, how they should protect themselves to avoid such loss of life,” he said.

The committees include traditional leaders, civic and political leaders and civil servants and were created to protect both people and animals.

Kamoto said other animals like lions and rhinos will also be relocated to the game reserve.

Africa Parks engaged experts from South Africa who used helicopters and specil vehicles to relocate the elephants and Prince Henry spent some days in Malawi witnessing yhe relocation exercise.
