Ex-Zambia leader KK jets in Malawi
Former Zambia President Kenneth Kaunda jets into Malawi Thursday in what officials say is a private visit.
The Zambian High Commission to Malawi says in a statement Kaunda will, among other things, lay a wreath at former president Kamuzu Banda tomb in Lilongwe.
The embassy has not released much details of Kaunda’s visit to Malawi but since he quit politics, he has been involved in HIV/AIDS activities.
He is the first head of state in Africa to concede that his son died due to the HIV/AIDS related diseases.
Kaunda has visited Malawi on several occasions since he retired as Zambia president.
Did Kaunda leave office voluntarily or he was defeated by Chiluba?????? I’m just asking.
Kaunda likes visiting Maswaswa in Mpamba where he comes from.
