Fischer rejects BB, Russell not renewing contract
Free-agent Flames dreadlocked winger Fischer ‘Jahman’ Kondowe has refuted rumours going around in town that he has put pen to paper to a contract to rejoin Big Bullets.
Super League of Malawi (Sulom) confirmed of Kondowe’s signature with the Ndirande township based out-fit in the local media.
However, the former Black Leopards described the story as false.
“Me signing for Bullets? This is not true and l just heard the news on the radio, “said Kondowe, who stressed that he will keep on training on his own to keep physically fit.
He also told Nyasa Times that there is a possibility to return back to South Africa in January.
“I am in talks with a certain South African out-fit for the time being l am just waiting for some documents and once it is done expect me to play in South Africa, “said Kondowe.
On another note, Swedish based gangling striker Russel Mwafulirwa told The Nation newspaper that he will not renew his contract with IFK Norrkoping.
Mwafulirwa’s contract is expected to ends in a couple of weeks.
“My three-year contract with IFK Norrkoping is coming to an end, but there are no plans of extending it. I believe l have done my part at the club, including helping them earn promotion back into the top league and it is time to move on, “he was quoted in the paper.
However, Ben Chiwaya confirmed with The Nation that Mwafulirwa was in talks with his former boss Jomo Sono on prospects of returning to the rainbow nation side in the next transfer window.
