FMB teller supervisor defrauds bank of K3 million -Malawi Police

Malawi Police in Mzuzu are searching for Thomas Misoyo who was working as a Teller Supervisor at First Merchant Bank (FMB) in Mzuzu for allegedly running away with money amounting to K3 million.

Mzuzu Police Public Relations Officer, Martin Bwanali said on Monday September 11, the accused collected the money from his subordinate while on duty promising to bring a cheque of the same later.

“He went to the teller at around 9 am where he took the said cash to give to a customer promising to bring a cheque later, but he disappeared,” Bwanali said.

Police have since appealed to the general public to report any information related to him which will lead to his arrest.

If found, Misoyo whose full particulars are yet to be known, will answer a charge of theft by servant contrary to Section 286 of the Penal Code.

mukuluyu alibe masomphenya, munthu akugwira mu bank, as teller supervisor basi akabe 3,000,000. lack of creative mind. ndikagwira almost 5,000,000 [for my boss ]everyday koma maganizo aupandu ndinalibe, masomphenya anga anali, work hard kuti tsiku lina, ndalama yoteroyo ndizaigwire ili yanga . pano ntchito ndinasiya, ndikupha makwacha anga.
