Comoro’s Island side Fomboni F.C are leaving no stone unturned in preparation for their second leg preliminary round Confederation of African Football (CAF) return leg against Bullets F.C this coming Saturday at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre and have set themselves a 2-0 away victory over the host.
While admitting that it will be a tough encounter, Malawian born striker Winster Phiri who now plies his trade at the Island based country boosted that they [Fomboni] are coming to Malawi to seek nothing but victory to progress into the next round.
“They [Bullets] beat us at home and we want to beat them at their own backyard. We have set a target of 2-0 win and believe you me, this will happen” said Phiri.
He therefore called upon all soccer lovers to flock to Kamuzu Stadium and watch the much important international match.
“It will be an exciting and tough match but we will fight” said the former Mighty Wanderers [now Be Forward], Blue Eagles and Eagle Beaks Striker.
Phiri missed several clear scoring opportunities when Fomboni hosted Bullets F.C that led to his team’s 1-0 demolition through an injury time strike from substitute Tizgolowere Kumwenda.Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
