Glasasi Boxing Promotions in another international bout

After successfully hosting two international bouts in March this year, Lilongwe based boxing outfit Glasasi Promotions will be back on stage tomorrow, July 16, 2017 with a 10-round international cruiserweight non-title professional bout involving Malawi’s Limbani Lano and Anosi Temfuna from Zambia.

Sponsored by Glasasi Building and Civil Engineering Contractors, the bout is set to take place at M1 Centre Point, where several other local bouts will also be on the menu.

In the main support bout, veteran Jobson Adams will square it up with Malawi Kayuni, young brother to Osgood ‘The Punisher’ Kayuni.

This is the second time this year for Glasasi Boxing Promotions to stage an international bout after staging two international bouts involving Malawi’s Wilson ‘Hard-hitter’ Masamba and Zimbabwe’s Richard Muriri and Adams, who fought against Tinashe Mwadziwana also from Zimbabwe. Masamba won on points with Adams losing on knock-out.

Speaking in an interview with Nyasa Times ahead of the bouts, Managing Director for Glasasi Promotions Gladwell Yohane said everything was well set for the boxing feast, which will also feature a ladies’ bout between Esther Chipanda and Wezi Kamanga.

“We are well set for the boxing festival and both Lano and the Zambian boxer are already in town ready to entertain the crowd.

“As I said last time, our aim is to expose our local boxers to international competitions and we hope boxing fans will have a great Sunday at the M1 Centre Point,” said Yohane.
