The Mafco FC top striker who is the current leading  scorer in the elite TNM Super league with 17 goals scored so far also revealed he hopes to surpus his 18 goals target he set at the beginning of the 2016 league season.

“Yes… I think I can surpus the target I set because we still have more games before we wrap up the season. Talking about the national team, I will become the national team material if given a chance by the coaches and I will prove to them that I am a good player” said Mbulu to Nyasa Times.

He went on to advise Malawians to learn how to appreciate the good work others are doing rather than being jealous.

“I just want to urge all supporters and Malawians in general to learn how to respect the good work others do. Let us have that spirit to support each other rather than being jealous and tarnish the image of others,” said the Mafco hitman who is a Warrant Officer Class 1 soldier at the Malawi Defence Force (MDF).

Mbulu launched his football career at Marine FC before going to try his luck at Nyasa Big Bullets where he failed to impress after over a
month long trials under the mentorship of the then coach Edingtone Ng’onamo in 2013.

However, a good Samaritan came his way and facilitated a deal for him to undergo trials at Mafco where he started training and got signed and now is doing wonders.

He was offered employment as a soldier in 2015.

Mbulu who hails from Mwanyama Village T/ Nankumba in Mangochi district was Born on 25th January 1994 at Mangochi District Hospital.

He is the first born in a family of five two boys and three girls.

His younger brother Tony also plays for Mafco but not yet employed as a soldier.

Mbulu’s father is also a soldier.

Meanwhile, Mbulu says the battle for Super league golden boot rages on as there are other equally good strikers chasing him.

Chiukepo Msowoya of Bullets FC come second on the top scorers chart with 13 goals while Peter Wadabwa of Mighty Wanderers come third with 11 goals.

Mbulu, I admire you but if you want to succeed in football, respect the civilians, distance urself from the barbaric behaviour of our soldiers. they misbehave just becoz they are soldiers. separate these two. you accuse malawians of kaduka yet you fight these malawians. enquire more about Collins Thawe, he was a soldier like you but had a golden behaviour. he succeded in footbal and remains an icon of futbal in malawi. Ngati ukufuna kuwona kutsogolo, ukwere pa mapewa a anzako ndipo udzawona zaku tsogolo. ukwera bwanji pa mapewa a anzako omwe ukuwamenya popeza ndiwe soldier.
